NFMW OFFICE CLOSURE


Please take note of the following important arrangements during the festive season.

  1. The office of the National Fund for Municipal Workers will close at 12h00 on Friday, 22 December 2023 and will reopen on Wednesday 3 January 2024.

  2. During the period of closure, all FUNERAL CLAIMS must kindly be emailed to exits@nationalfund.co.za. To expedite payment please ensure that all required documents are attached to the claim. Incomplete claims can unfortunately not be processed for payment.

FUND MANAGEMENT


FUND MANAGEMENT

The Board of Trustees is charged with governance of the Fund and the legislated fiduciary responsibility for the Fund rests with the Board. The Fund has filled three vacancies in the Board of Trustees effective 1 November 2023, following the successful conclusion of the trustee elections. Consequently, the Board of Trustees continues to be properly constituted and has further constituted four permanent committees to give effect to the efficient execution of its oversight role. In addition, the Board has finalised the election from among its ranks of the Chairperson of the Board and Chairpersons of the respective committees.

Mr Charles Antonio, re-elected as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and accordingly Chairperson of the Executive Committee.
Ms Christina Makgalemele, re-elected as Chairperson of the Communications and Stakeholder Management Committee.
Mr Eugene Schutte, newly elected as Chairperson of the Investment Committee.
Mr Sibongile Mpembe, newly elected as Chairperson of the Legal Committee.
