NFMW Integrated Report & Key Highlights

Dear valued NFMW-member,

We are pleased to share the NFMW 2024/2025 Integrated Report, which marks the conclusion of our five-year strategic cycle (2020–2025) under the theme “Sustainable Growth, Lasting Impact.”

This year’s report provides a comprehensive reflection on how we have continued to create and sustain value through responsible investment, ethical leadership, and operational excellence. It highlights how we achieved solid membership growth and exceptional asset expansion, guided by prudent investment decisions and strengthened governance structures.

The Report outlines our significant progress in digital transformation and process optimisation, resulting in enhanced efficiency, improved service responsiveness, and stronger operational accuracy across the organisation.

We have also invested in skills development and capacity building for both the Board and operational teams, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and strengthening the long-term capability of the Fund.

A core focus of this strategic cycle has been advancing our member value proposition. The Report expands on how we improved benefits, achieved cost efficiencies, and broadened access to financial education, advisory, and wellness initiatives in support of the members we serve.

Our engagement with employers and stakeholders deepened during this period, enabling stronger collaboration, improved accessibility, and meaningful long-term partnerships across the municipal sector.

As this strategic cycle concludes, the Report reflects a Fund that is strong, agile, and future-ready, anchored by robust governance and a shared commitment to delivering lasting value and impact achievements made possible through the collective dedication of our employees and the strategic stewardship of the Board of Trustees.

Building on this solid foundation, we step confidently into the 2025–2030 cycle, guided by the theme EMPOWER. EVOLVE. EXCEL. Our values, Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, Benevolence, and Responsibility, continue to serve as the cornerstone for delivering long-term value to our members, their families, employers, and communities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our members, employers, and stakeholders for their trust, engagement, and partnership. Your continued support enables us to fulfil our mission and strengthen the value we deliver.

Kind regards
Dr Leslie Ndawana
